The New Orleans Times-Picayune awards a "JAZZ" to a free program called Science Technology Academics and Research, or STAR, made possible by Ochsner Medical Center and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. The program lets top high school students get an intensive look at science and healthcare careers.
